Brook Rosser

Brook’s mixed media paintings blend both private and mythic images through the application of paint collage, sometimes digital media and metallic leaf. Her love of folk art and color is evident in her work, which constantly searches out new ways to explore the wonder and enchantment of living.

Brook’s work has been exhibited at galleries in the Texas area such as AnArte Gallery as well as  University Autonoma de Mexico, St. Mary’s University, Texas Tech University, The University of Texas at Tyler, and Arizona State Universities Institute for Humanities and Research and other institutions. Her work has been acquired for both private and corporate collections such as the University Hospital Health System’s Robert B. Green Research Facility and Methodist Hospitals in San Antonio, Texas. Brook Rosser lives in San Antonio Texas and is a painter and Professor of Communication Design at San Antonio College. Brook received her BFA in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin and her MFA in Painting and Drawing from Texas Tech University. Brook’s paintings and drawings have been exhibited in both group and solo exhibitions as well as juried shows.

 Her work has been exhibited at: AnArte Gallery, Carrington/Gallagher Gallery, Blue Star, University Autonoma de Mexico, Southwest School of Arts & Crafts, St. Mary’s University, the Lubbock Fine Arts Center, Texas Tech University, The University of Texas at Tyler, and Arizona State Universities Institute for Humanities and Research. Her work has been acquired for both private and corporate collections such as the University Hospital Health System’s Robert B. Green Research Facility in San Antonio, Texas.
